Online Therapy for Anxiety, Worry and Overthinking

When your mind treats every uncertainty like a problem to solve this instant, rest can feel impossible. I offer online therapy in English to adults in Spain who want to understand their anxiety, quieten the spiral and respond with more choice.

You can look calm and still feel constantly on alert

Anxiety isn’t always visible. You might be organised, capable and great at anticipating problems while privately replaying conversations, scanning for mistakes and preparing for every possible outcome. The strategies that help you function can also keep the threat system switched on.

Therapy is a place to examine that cycle without it being reduced to “just relax” or “think positively”.

Anxiety can show up as

  • Racing thoughts and endless “what if” questions

  • Replaying social interactions and fearing you got them wrong

  • Avoiding decisions until you feel completely certain

  • Perfectionism, procrastination or over-preparing

  • Physical tension, restlessness or trouble switching off

  • People-pleasing and a fear of disappointing others

  • Shutdown, freezing or going blank under pressure

  • Existential worry and a fear you’re wasting your life

Understand the cycle, then practise a different response

I draw mainly on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, alongside CBT and counselling. Here’s the thing about “just stop thinking about it”: try not to picture a cat in a red hat right now. Exactly. Fighting a thought head-on rarely works. Instead we notice the triggers, spot the behaviours that ease anxiety in the moment but feed it over time, make room for uncomfortable sensations, and take steps guided by your values rather than by fear.

The goal isn’t to promise a life with no anxious thoughts. It’s to help anxiety take up less control over your choices.

Anxiety in neurodivergent and analytical minds

Generic advice can miss the impact of sensory load, masking, intense focus or a strong need for predictability. Therapy can tell anxiety apart from genuine access needs, and build strategies that respect both.

You don’t need a perfect explanation of what’s wrong. We start with the situations where anxiety has the most say, and map what’s happening together.
